Students of Manila Science High School were the first recipient of the MSA Mental Math and Problem Solving Techniques Training as MSA launches the Public Schools Seminar last July 6,2007 at the school’s auditorium. This was in cooperation with the Department of Education’s Adopt-A-School Program.The MSA Mental Math Techniques is another breakthrough in teaching Mathematics. Computations of big numbers are done with tremendous speed and accuracy, that even an average student can become a Math Whiz. This is another innovation of MSA, presently the only International Standard Operations (ISO) certified company in the industry. It is the product of its years of experience, research and creativity. According to Merle S. Alferez, the MSA’s founder and director, she believes that implementing these techniques in schools will surely improve our standing in the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Studies (TIMSS). MSA will support the Dep Ed’s Adopt-a-School Program by giving this training to other public schools.It has also donated more than P250,000 worth of MSA Math textbooks, MSA English Handbook and learning materials to the said school. The launching of this program was attended by Ms. Judy Gabriel, the Math Supervisor of Dep Ed Manila, school’s officials, teachers and students, and print and broadcast media persons.Training booklets, MSA Mental Math Books, MSA Learning Cards and MSA Number 18 Card Game were given for free.
